Yigupai

The Yigupai refers to a group of scholars and writers who show doubts and uncertainty of antiquity in the academia. Most of their criticism concerns the authenticity of pre-Qin texts and deals with questions put forward by the past dynastic writers, as well as other subjects. The most prominent figure was Gu Jiegang, who is generally considered to be the founder of this school. Their writings also had influcence on many western sinologists including such as Bernhard Karlgren and .
